Crash SPU Commands

SPU-specific crash commands for crash tool provide a means of debugging kernel data related to SPUs by using a dumped kernel image. This SPU commands extension for crash provides commands that format and show data concerning the state of SPUs at the time of the system crash or hang. This functionality is based on the use of kdump, and the documentation can be found in the Documentation/kdump/kdump.txt file from the Linux kernel sources.

With RHEL5.3 (or later) the crash-spu-commands package is part of the RHEL5 Linux distribution.

The Programmer's Guide to the IBM SDK for Multicore Acceleration contains some information about how to analyze Cell/B.E.™ SPUs with kdump and crash.
