SPU Tools

spu-tools package contains two useful programs, spu-ps and spu-top, equivalent to ps and top Linux programs but intended for Cell/B.E. SPUs.

spu-ps tool dumps information about the running spu contexts and spu-top program provides a dynamic real-time view of the running system in regards to Cell/B.E. SPUs.

With RHEL5.3 (or later) the spu-tools package is part of the RHEL5 Linux distribution.

To rebuild the SPU tools rpm you can install the source rpm and run the rpm_build.sh script:

                  rpm -ivh spu-tools-1.1-5.src.rpm
                  rpm_build.sh --none --sputools
