6th RES User's Conference and HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference 2012

The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES), coordinated by the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), and the High Performace Computing Advisory Council, in cooperation with the University of Málaga, will hold the VI RES User Meeting and the HPC Advisory Council Spain Conference 2012 on 12th & 13th September 2012, in Málaga (Spain).

About the HPC Advisory Council                                                                                                                                   The HPC Advisory Council is a large eco-system organization which focuses on bridging the gap between high-performance computing use and its potential, bringing the beneficial capabilities of HPC to new users for better research, education, innovation and product manufacturing, and brings users the expertise needed to operate HPC systems, provide application designers with the tools needed to enable parallel computing, and to strengthen the qualification and integration of HPC system products. In the meeting, the HPC Advisory Council will be presenting, as well as distinguished speakers from the HPC research organizations and vendors.

The Spanish Supercomputing Network (RES)
The RES is an alliance of 8 organizations distributed throughout the Spanish geography which work together and offer since 2006 a High Performance Computing service to the scientific community. As the main objective of RES is to provide a general purpose high level service of supercomputing, celebrates an annual user meeting that allows to get in touch with the end users and comprehend their needs and the Science they need to investigate. Besides, the meeting permits to inform about the available resources, the application process and the evaluation method, the different typologies of the access granted, the existence of mobility programs, the support provided and contact the RES Users'Commitee (CURES).
