RES Diffusion Sessions in the Canary Islands

The RES (Spanish Supercomputing Network), coordinated by BSC and in collaboration with the ITC (Canary Islands Technologic Institute) and IAC (Astrophysics Institute of the Canary Islands), organizes in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Tenerife the RES Diffusion Sessions in the Canary Islands.

It will be conducted in Spanish by renowned scientific researchers that will share its experience in the development of research activities using the RES resources, and also
experts from the ITC, IAC and BSC-CNS, that will introduce topics to be considered for using supercomputing services effectively.

Date:
Tuesday, 27 September, 2011 (All day) to Wednesday, 28 September, 2011 (All day)
Objectives:

The seminar aim is to illustrate the usefulness of applying the supercomputing resources to the scientific research by presenting the outcome of different scientific activities developed in the RES by prestigious researchers.

Besides, the technical teams of ITC, IAC and BSC will introduce som key points and tools that are important to consider and know to use the computing resources in a more effective and efficient way.
